Stage Fright for a little girl of 11 years.
I wanted to write and thank you for your work with my daughter, ' A'.  ...as you know she is an Irish Dancer, and has several public performances coming up over the St. Patty's weekend......'A' couldn't wait to get up and dance for the crowd.  By the end of the evening not only was she getting ovations from the patrons, but she had people up and giving them dance lessons right in the middle of the restaurant.  Everyone had a great time, and ' A' was obviously so proud and thrilled that she had been able to overcome her fear and once gain enjoy her wonderful talent for dancing.
Thank you.

Hypno for Enurisis for children.
Geoffrey helped my six year old child stop wetting her bed at night.
We went for one session and she has not wet her bed since.  My daughter is usually quite shy around new people, but Geoffrey's gentle, kind manner made her feel at ease.  I highly recommend Geoffrey.

An e-mail from a lady from Arizona with cancer
Good morning Geoffrey,
Just a brief update to let you know that the tapes are a wonderful tool for me to regain health.
Every day that I am able, I listen and work on regaining health. I feel that great progress is being made and that I am absolutely on the right track.

Because of a very bad reaction the previous chemo, the oncologist has changed the chemo drug combination this time so that it is more acceptable to my body. It is better, but I feel lethargic all the time. This, too, will pass. I found a copy of Getting Well Again by the Simontons as you recommended and find it to be a wonderful explanation of the causes of cancer and how to overcome the illness.
Many of the visualizations/biofeedback techniques discussed are what you have been doing with me, and the personal exercises clarify my thoughts. I feel so directed and guided to health - and I want to thank you again for all the hope and tools to health that you have given me.

An e-mail from a lady golfer whose game improved with hypnosis
.

Hi Geoffrey,
Just wanted to let you know my progress. I played in a 3 day tournament in Corvallis last week. My scores 95/94/92!! But, better than the improving score is how I feel when I am on the course. For the first time in many months I really had fun and felt very much in charge of my game. Thank you so much for all your help. Am off to the beach for a week and another tournament. Will keep you posted. Cheers

This is a letter from Jerry McDaniels, of Vancouver, Washington State, e-mailed to me in March  2000.

"Dear Geoffrey,
I want to thank you for all you have done for me and my family. Your help and healing has done many amazing things. I want to share my story with others so they may benefit from the strength of hypnotherapy. Although you already know all of this I felt it important to put in a letter. Please feel free to publish any or all of this letter and share it with your students and colleagues.

On December 11, 1999, 1 cut my left thumb completely off at the base of my hand on the band saw at work. There were many incidents to follow that made it difficult to get to the hospital. It was over four hours to get on the surgeons table. Not optimum for reattachment. Yet, three micro surgeries later and considerable fear, anger, and resentment, my thumb was on, yet doctors were not sure if I would keep it.

Two weeks passed and I came home from the hospital on Christmas day. It was still uncertain if I would keep my thumb. I had lost 25 pounds in two weeks. Nine blood transfusions, and a mounting panic growing inside my head. That is when I started the hypnotherapy with you, Geoffrey. Immediately, I felt different but I couldn't of told you how. Within two weeks of seeing you I had a better out look and was ready to head in for another operation. Yet that wasn't to happened they postponed the surgery and said I had started turning around.

Another two weeks passed with me visiting you regularly and I was not only feeling upbeat, able to do self hypnosis on my own but they canceled the surgery all together. The doctors told me to keep doing whatever It was I was doing. (I had already told them that I was seeing Geoffrey Knight for hypnotherapy and received no negative just raised eyebrows.) My doctor and physical therapist both feel that my visits to your office have helped me heal.

On one of my recent visits to the doctor, they cancel all skin graphs since my body is rejuvenating  large areas of skin and tissue on its own. I have began to move my thumb and hand again. It is amazing the power of the mind when you know how to use it. I can't thank you enough for helping me heal myself. I am not afraid, I look forward.
Thank you,
Jerry McDaniel "

From a client I taught hypnosis for the birth of her son.

"What an amazing experience the birth was! I was so relaxed and felt almost no discomfort. Only a couple of times did I really focus ON the discomfort...because I wanted to experience how it COULD have been!"

We were also the big news at the nursing station that evening! I remember hearing a nurse say, "I can't tell when she is having contractions!"

To whom it may concern:

I met Geoffrey Knight when I was 36 weeks pregnant. After seeing a TV show featuring hypnotherapy and birthing without the use of pain medication, I decided it was worth pursuing even at such a late stage in my pregnancy. Geoffrey agreed to work with me on this process even though he had never formally taught hypnotherapy for birthing before. He went out of his way to learn more about the birthing process as well as talk with other practitioners who had taught the process. His research, combined with his skills as a hypnotherapist, provided for a wonderful childbirth preparation experience.

During the sessions, Geoffrey taught me techniques to go into self-hypnosis as well as techniques that would be useful specifically to childbirth. We worked on ways to get my body ready for the birthing process, techniques to manage pain, ways to disassociate from the situation, and ways to help the body open and release during childbirth. Geoffrey's skill as a hypnotherapist and teacher made the process very simple to learn and easy to do on my own. After starting the sessions and also practicing on my own, it was amazing to see how much healthier I looked and felt just by taking time out to relax

My birth process itself was not quite as I envisioned. Instead of having a natural birth process that built gradually, I was induced.  My husband and Geoffrey were there and helped me relax through the contractions as the pitocin kicked in. Unfortunately the pitocin induced contractions built in intensity too quickly for me to manage without an epidural. The hypnotherapy still provided a much more relaxed birth process than I could have imagined without it. From pre-labor contractions, to pregnancy back pain, to I' stage labor, to the epidural insertion and then post-birth contractions, I was able to relax, enabling my body to do better what it naturally needed to do.

I highly recommend Geoffrey Knight to help guide you through the hypnotherapy process, for childbirth or any other ailment/issue that you wish to pursue.

Sincerely
Suzy Cardisco"

This is a copy of a letter to Dr. Larry Skolnick, the late administrator of the Oregon Hypnotherapy Association.
Mrs Simon was a graduate of the Professional class in November 2000.

"Dear Dr. Skolnick,
I look forward to future involvement with the OHA and would like to recommend the Knightsbridge Institute for Hypnotherapy & NLP.
The quality of education was superior as Walter Gregory and Geoffrey Knight were fine teachers who presented their material in a consistent and thorough manner.  As a result, I feel competent to practice in this field.
Yours truly,

Mr. Knight,

Thank you so much for changing my daughter's life!!

It worked! She is a free soul now and is no longer held in bondage from her past.

Thank you again.

in hypnosis brought about the changes necessary for her daughter to lead a normal life]

Dear Geoffrey,

I have come a long way emotionally since our last treatment. I have been off Prozac for three months.
I am going to an acupuncturist and an herbalist. She just continued on what you started me on.
I could never have gotten over the hump without your help.
I have gained my life back thanks to you.
My husband and I feel you did more for me then any doctor ever has.

Sincerely

Here is a letter from Rachel, aged 8

Dear Mr. Knight

Thank you for hypnotizing me.
Now I don't bite my nails.

I am really happy I don't bite my nails!
So now I can do a lot of things with my nails.
I am really glad I have long nails.
Thank you
Sincerely
Rachel

A letter from a mother who stopped smoking cigarettes at the beginning of her pregnancy.
I am coming up on my 1 year anniversary of quitting smoking thanks to you. I just wanted you to see what a beautiful child we have now and with a smoke free pregnancy. I have amazed every one, since I have no cravings whatsoever and I never did listen to the tape you gave me of our session, but I still have it.
Sondra Lynn Morison is now 3 months old today and is in excellent health, as am I. One of the best things you said to me was to never have that one, which I never did and I think that is why this was so successful for me.

Just wanted to let you know how much you have changed my life and I am continuing to send people to you, so that you will be able to help others as much as you have helped me.
Thank you again - Trisia Morison .

Geoffrey,

It's been a year since I came to you for help. My heart is filled with love again!

I've flown several times now and I did great. The fears that were paralyzing me seem to be gone.

I feel I am able to live my life daily instead of in short spells. The anxiety is less and less now ,
although I still take the medication.

I want to express my gratitude to you for your assistance. It means a great deal to me. Thanks for being there.

[ A lady in Portland]

This lady had pre-operative hypnotherapy for a hysterectomy and for her well-being and healing post operatively, as she was allergic to most non narcotic pain killing drugs.
Geoffrey,

I'm writing to tell you about how well my hysterectomy experience went with the help of the hypnosis instruction I had with you.
When we first started working together about 5 weeks before the surgery, you gave me the idea that I would actually be looking
forward to the surgery by the time the day came around. I couldn't quite imagine that would be true, but it was.

We also worked hard on pain control issues since I am allergic to most non-narcotic pain medications and wanted to use only the minimum of narcotics. I had great success in that area too.

As the day of the surgery approached, I was indeed looking forward to it. I was relaxed and ready. When my friend Susan (who came to help me recover) arrived the day prior to the surgery, she said she could see how calm I was and knew that I was in a good space emotionally and mentally. The morning of the surgery, I woke up completely calm and content. Never once did I have butterflies in my stomach or feel nervous in any way.

When I arrived at the hospital and the pre-operative holding area, the staff was impressed that I was so relaxed. At one point, my friend leaned over to me and commented that I even had a smile on my face while I rested there with my eyes closed. I woke up in the recovery room and felt only minor discomfort, as we had discussed. I never experience what I would call pain.
They had a system hooked up that allowed me to push a button for an extra dose of narcotic pain medication when ever I felt I needed it but I never once needed to use it. (In fact, the first evening I asked the nurse to turn down the small amount infusing regularly.)
Back in my room after the surgery, I was up walking across the room within 2 hours which astonished everyone. They continued to be amazed as I quickly recovered, required nothing but Tylenol the first post-operative day and nothing after that.

My recovery at home went just as well. I was back to work in 2 weeks and had a quick return of my energy, feeling completely myself by week 3. I know that the work we did together made all the difference in the world in terms of how this experience went and I am very grateful for the expertise you were able to bring to the situation.

I advised this lady to stop drinking soda pops, and eating 'Splenda' which her Doctor had advised to to use as a sweetner.
June 14th, 2005

Geoffrey,
Thank you for the information on artificial sweeteners.
I quit drinking diet pop and quit using Splenda the day I got your note. I do not know how I will ever thank you for passing this information on to me. I am pain free from what I thought was my arthritis hurting me. I do have arthritis but it no longer hurts.
It was the artificial sweeteners causing inflammation in all my joints and back. Also, I take the Coreg for my heart palpitations, I called my Dr. to see if I could take one half the prescription a day, I have not heard back from him.

I cannot believe how much better I feel. I thought I was eating right and instead I was slowly killing myself.
I can think clearer also, does that make sense. I never did receive the package you said you were sending, it must have gotten lost in the mail.

Thank you again,

Geoffrey,

I want to thank you again; my life has changed so very much for the better since you encouraged me to quit using artificial sweeteners.

Last Friday my Dr. called and said my blood sugar average was 5.9 without the medication. I no longer take Avandia for the diabetes.
I do not have to take Zetia for the high cholesterol, I do not take Coreg for the high blood pressure and I do not have to take Mobic for the arthritis.
I am starting a diet and exercise program since I finally feel like exercising now. It is funny how our one meeting changed my life so drastically, you will forever be in our hearts.

Thank you

A letter from Alex Hoover, a young man I saw, who send me this unsolicited testimonial.

My name is Alex Hoover, and I am 25 years old.

When I first came to see Mr. Knight, I was forlorn and desperate; I didn't hold out any hope that I might be cured of my seizure disorder. I had fallen ill eight years ago; my parents had tried everything imaginable to rid me of the seizures, from innumerable scans and countless anti-seizure drugs, to doctor after doctor, all of which failed; each and every doctor said quite bluntly that they wouldn't be able to help me. Then, we found a webpage on the Internet about Mr. Knight, and gave him a call. My mother explained our situation, and Mr. Knight said that he would be more than willing to try; in fact, he had immense confidence that this situation would end most favorably.

That was the initial crack in the doorway to my future.

Over a period of several months, Mr. Knight performed intensive hypnotherapy on me, causing all manners of mental and physical changes in my life, and in my body. Let me stop here for a moment, to explain that hypnotherapy is experienced differently by everyone, and my own personal experience with it, was that it creates, within the confines of my own mind, an alternate reality, just as real and tangible as the one that we all live in. But in this alternate environment, the limitations of society, and indeed physical reality itself, are suspended or selectively enhanced, according to the suggestions of the hypnotherapist, and your own imagination. The other profound quality of it that I noticed, is that hypnotherapy seems to, in some way that I cannot explain, rewrite the patient's personality for the better; it seems to make you into more of the person that you want to be.

With each of our sessions, I felt stronger and stronger, the need for my herbal medication slowly waning as my inner strength and resistance to this terrible illness grew and grew. I began to realize that there was indeed, a reason to have hope, that I might somehow conquer this awful condition that had wracked my body and stolen my future. And, at every turn, Mr. Knight had the utmost confidence that I would succeed, that I could beat this. That, in turn, swelled my confidence in him, that he could do for me what a parade of doctors, scientists and specialists could not: namely, help me with this terrible seizure disorder.

Then, during one of our sessions, right as I began to groggily emerge from the vivid-dreamlike state of hypnosis, my eyes focused, as they often did, on the calm, powerful figure of Mr. Knight, concentrating on writing his notes, and I asked him, "Shall I see you again, at the same time next week?" And he replied to me that he had done all that he needed to; that the next, and final step, was up to me. He told me that he had finished his work with me, and that the only thing that remained to be done was for me to wean myself off the herbals. At first, I was incredulous; after all, I didn't feel better immediately. But that, of course, is probably because my understanding of the process is regrettably limited.

So, I returned home, and continued with my life; but strangely enough, my need for the herbals began to sharply wane; I went from taking it once every four hours, to once in the morning and once in the evening. And then, one day, I woke up, and I told myself, "That's it; today's the day." And that day, about three months ago, was the last time that I took the herbals.

Looking back, I am still surprised that everything went as smoothly as Mr. Knight had planned, but I am eternally grateful for all that he had done for me. He had refused to give up in the face of so many failures in my medical past; he had stepped up to the plate, had taken the initiative and had refused to be dissuaded; he had even given my family a generous break on the cost of his services (we are relatively poor, and could not afford to pay the full price for his sessions at the rate that I required them).

It is to Mr. Knight that I owe my newfound clean bill of health, and indeed my very future. Without his heroic efforts, I would still be a burned-out husk, a shell of a man, wallowing in my hopelessness. But Mr. Knight gave me hope, and a new lease on life. To him, I owe it all.
